EARLY BEGINNINGS
SOUTHLAND CONTRACTORS originated in Valdosta, GA in 1992 and was a spin-off from Seward Daugharty & Company that was in the clearing and grading business since the 1960's. The company was started by Seward Daugharty & Frank P. Daugharty who felt the need to form a full line civil construction company that truly offered a superior service. When the company first began, grading and land clearing were our primary focuses. As time past, the company then evolved into a premier paving contractor performing projects all around South Georgia. A few short years later, Southland added concrete work & underground utilities to their resume.
